Cricket Team Records for Every National Side

Every page is worked out from ball-by-ball records of international matches since Dec 2001.

India have played 1,021 internationals in these cricket team records and won 601, more matches and more wins than any other side. This hub links 19 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams.

Each team page breaks down results by format, shows the record against every opponent, and lists the leading run scorers, wicket takers, highest totals and lowest totals. All figures count matches since Dec 2001.

Reading the National Cricket Team Stats

The two lists below show matches played and matches won for each side. The gap between those two numbers is not all defeats: Test draws, ties and washouts sit in there too, so a team page is the place to see the full win, loss and draw split.

Win totals need context. Australia have won 551 of 934, a higher share than India’s 601 of 1,021, even though India have more wins. Zimbabwe have played 514 matches and won 143. Associate sides such as Nepal (112 wins from 206) and the USA (71 from 135) play mostly T20Is, which changes how their record reads.

The data is ball-by-ball scorecards from Cricsheet, starting Dec 2001. Afghanistan’s matches are not in that open data set, so there is no Afghanistan page, and their games are missing from every opponent’s record too.
