Who has hit the most sixes in T20 internationals? In this record book the answer is Karanbir Singh of Austria, with 211 sixes from 56 innings, ahead of Rohit Sharma (India) on 194.
Our tallies span 3,558 men’s and 2,171 women’s T20Is between Feb 2005 and Sep 2026, though Afghanistan’s games are missing from the open data. Because Associate teams play many T20Is, the main list mixes their batters with stars from Test-playing nations, so a separate table ranks only full members. Further down sit India’s top ten, a leader for every team and the women’s rankings.
Karanbir Singh, Rohit Sharma and Two Ways to Lead
The main table counts every six hit in a men’s T20I covered here, whoever the opponent. That is how Karanbir Singh (Austria) ends up first: 211 sixes in only 56 innings, well over three an innings. His best score is 164.
Among Test-playing nations the leader is Rohit Sharma with 194 sixes from 145 innings. Jos Buttler (England) is close behind on 190 from 146, and Suryakumar Yadav (India) has 175 from just 105, a faster rate than either. Martin Guptill (New Zealand) rounds out the top five with 173.
Six Associate batters make the main list: Karanbir, Waseem Muhammad (UAE) with 153, Babar Hayat (Hong Kong) with 146, Syed Aziz (Malaysia) with 139, Virandeep Singh (Malaysia) with 120 and George Munsey (Scotland) with 115. Remove them and the full-member list starts with Rohit.
