WPL Records: Most Runs, Wickets and Every Champion

Covers all 88 WPL matches in the ball-by-ball data, 4 Mar 2023 to 5 Feb 2026. Super overs are not counted in player figures.

These WPL records cover the most runs, wickets, sixes and titles in the Women’s Premier League, from all 88 matches played between 4 Mar 2023 and 5 Feb 2026. Nat Sciver-Brunt of Mumbai Indians sits first for runs, 1,348 of them, averaging 49.93.

Four seasons have produced two champions. Mumbai Indians won in 2023 and 2025, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru won in 2024 and 2026. Delhi Capitals reached all four finals and lost every one. Player figures ignore super overs.

WPL winners list and team records

The title has swapped hands every year. Mumbai beat Delhi by 7 wickets in the first final, played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mar 2023, and RCB answered with an 8-wicket win over the same opponents on 17 Mar 2024. Mumbai’s 8-run win in 2025 and RCB’s 6-wicket chase in Vadodara on 5 Feb 2026 kept the pattern going.

The win-loss table tells a slightly different story. Mumbai Indians have 23 wins from 37 games, the best record in the league. Delhi Capitals sit just behind on 22 wins from 37, which makes their record in finals stand out even more. RCB have 18 wins and one tie from 35 games. Gujarat Giants (13 wins) and UP Warriorz (11 wins) have each lost 21 times.

Club-level detail sits on the Mumbai Indians WPL records page.

Most runs in WPL history and the six hitters

Sciver-Brunt’s 1,348 runs came in 36 innings with 11 fifties and the league’s only hundred, a 57-ball 100* against RCB on 26 Jan 2026. Meg Lanning (DC/UPW) is second with 1,200, having played for Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz. Harmanpreet Kaur of Mumbai, third on 1,193, strikes at 145.49.

Ellyse Perry of RCB has the best average among the top 20 at 64.80, from only 25 innings. Shafali Verma of Delhi scores fastest of the top five, at 152.10.

Shafali also owns the sixes list with 53, well clear of Richa Ghosh (RCB) on 41. Harmanpreet has 35 and Ash Gardner of Gujarat Giants 34. Sciver-Brunt, the top run scorer, has just 15 sixes: her runs come mostly along the ground.

Most wickets in WPL and the best bowling

Amelia Kerr of Mumbai Indians owns the wickets record: 54, each costing 17.15 runs on average, with a best of 5/38. Her teammate Hayley Matthews is second with 46, so Mumbai bowlers fill the top two places. Sophie Ecclestone of UP Warriorz is third with 43 and has the lowest economy rate in the top three at 6.87.

Marizanne Kapp of Delhi stands out for control: she has gone at 6.05 an over across 34 games, the cheapest rate on the list.

The best single spell is Perry’s 6/15 versus Mumbai on 12 Mar 2024, bowling for RCB. Kapp’s 5/15 against Gujarat in 2023 comes next. Five-wicket hauls have come from eight different bowlers.

Gujarat’s 64 all out against Mumbai on 4 Mar 2023, in the opening game, is still the lowest total. UP Warriorz made the highest, 225/5 against RCB in Lucknow on 8 Mar 2025, and RCB replied with 213 in the same match.

Top run scorer and wicket taker each WPL season

A new name has led the runs every year. Lanning made 345 for Delhi in 2023, Perry 347 for RCB in 2024, Sciver-Brunt 523 for Mumbai in 2025 and Smriti Mandhana 377 for RCB in 2026. Sciver-Brunt’s 2025 season, at an average of 65.38, is the biggest total by some distance.

The wickets lead has moved around too: Matthews with 16 in 2023, Shreyanka Patil (RCB) with 13 in 2024, Kerr with 18 in 2025 and Devine (Gujarat Giants) with 17 in 2026. For other women’s league numbers, see the WBBL records. The men’s leagues have their own pages for PSL records and BBL records.
