Four teams share the top of the WBBL records for titles, with two each: Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers, Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. Hobart Hurricanes are the latest champions, winning the 2025/26 final by 8 wickets against Perth Scorchers at Bellerive Oval.
This page covers 519 Women’s Big Bash League matches across 11 seasons, from Dec 2015 to Dec 2025. The first season is only partly in the data, so its final result comes from the official record. Each club is listed under the name it used that season. A cricketer who switched clubs shows up as one row, tagged with her main two teams.
Seven champions in 11 seasons
No club has pulled away in the Women’s Big Bash League. Seven different teams have lifted the trophy, and nobody has more than two titles. Sydney Sixers took consecutive titles in 2016/17 and 2017/18, Brisbane Heat followed with two in a row, and Adelaide Strikers did the same in 2022/23 and 2023/24.
Perth Scorchers are the side that keeps knocking. They won in 2021/22 but lost three finals, the most of any runner-up in the table. Melbourne Stars are the only club still waiting for a title.
Across the whole league, Sydney Sixers have the best win rate at 58.3 per cent, with 74 wins from 130 games. Brisbane Heat have the most wins, 77 from 135. Hobart Hurricanes sit last on 38.5 per cent, which makes their 2025/26 title a sharp turn. Finals have been close: three of the last four were settled by 10 runs or fewer. The men’s competition has its own Big Bash League records page.
